Going Naked in Barcelona And By What Method The Nudity Laws Are Shifting
Will Being Publicly Naked in Barcelona Be Outlawed?
Bare in Barcelona - Were you imagining that the European nakation could be clothing-free with the more lenient laws on nudity over t here ? Well the rules are shifting in Catalonia's capital. Up until now public nudity was permitted, and the Barcelona City Council even put out a leaflet in 2004 called "Expressing Yourself in Nudity" which included images of naked people around the city in parks, on the subway, etc.
It pointed out the law "does not contain any post for sanctions against public nudity." (Let us design a pamphlet like that for NYC please ;)
But I Want To Be Unclothed In Barcelona !!!!
But it looks like folks will have to put their pants back on starting late April as they're banning public nudity.
Seemingly this is an effort to bring a much better quality and amount of tourists, ie. not the ones who are seeing for crazy parties with cheap booze and nude folks clearly. Considering few people went openly unclothed in the first place, I don't see how forbidding it will help with crazy tourism difficulties. Well let us hope nothing changes on the nudist beaches!
